Damansara Idaman, as a low density, high-end, luxury bungalow community, is located in Tropicana Damansara, north of Petaling Jaya,Malaysia. Situated on a sprawling 4-acre land, Damansara Idaman is an elite gated residential neighborhood with 136 garden bungalows surrounded by lush greenery and a natural, unspoilt landscape. The Damansara Idaman gated community needs a comprehensive integrated smart home system to ensure the comfort, safety and security of its residents.

A complete range of smart home system was designed and installed in Damansara Idaman including CCTV Surveillance, Access Control, Home Alarm, Home Automation, Landscape Lighting, and Intercom systems. Together with our local integrator, Rancent was involved to offer a tailored fiber optic transmission solutions in the community CCTV surveillance system including 10/100M media converters for the hundreds of IP camera links for the comprehensive surveillance coverage over this area and single channel contact closure converters for the transmission of normally open/close relay signals for access control and alarm systems. 155 RCFE1 10/100M multimode media converters were used for the video transmission of IP cameras and PTZs installed across the community including main entrances and exits, garden areas, parking lots, perimeters and jogging tracks around the lake. These video signals were collected and transmitted back to the central control room where guards keep an overview of the security situation and take action when necessary. 135 RC-C1TR 1-channel contact multimode transceiver provided transmission of relay signals collected from alarm detectors along the perimeters and access controllers at the main entrances. These contact closure converters transmitted these signlas over the existing fiber cables to the control room for the alarm event triggering when intrusions occur and also the real-time remote gate control at the entrances and exits when needed, ensuring that security personnel to effectively protect the community residents and  their properties.
